Lael Brainard, Chair

Lael has been at the forefront of advancing an American economy that prioritizes working families – raising incomes, supporting stable employment, and keeping the cost of living within reach. She has served at the highest levels of the Federal Reserve, the National Economic Council, and the U.S. Treasury, shaping policies on jobs, growth, and financial stability with those goals in mind.

Neale Mahoney, Advisor

Neale is an economist who has held leading roles in academia and government. He is the Trione Director of Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), the TG Wijaya Professor of Economics at Stanford University, and Chair of California's Independent Consumer Fuels Advisory Committee. Neale previously served on the White House National Economic Council and on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Academic Research Council. His research focuses on healthcare, consumer finance, and energy markets.

Aaron Shroyer

Aaron is a housing and urban policy expert. Previously, he served as Special Assistant to the President for Housing Policy at the White House National Economic Council, where he led development and implementation of the administration’s housing agenda, and held policy roles at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Domestic Policy Council.

Allie Neill

Allie spent a decade-plus on Capitol Hill in senior roles on House and Senate committees. She advised Budget Directors at the OMB and later joined the White House Legislative Affairs team to secure bipartisan budget victories and reforms. Most recently she served as a Senior Advisor at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, building congressional coalitions to combat junk fees, strengthen data privacy, tackle medical debt and crack down on predatory lending.

Anna Van Hollen

Anna is a policy advisor focused on the intersection of domestic and international policy. She served on the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council, where she worked on international economics, economic security, and industrial policy, and as a senior advisor at the State Department. Prior to government, Anna worked in technology policy.

Arnab Datta

Arnab serves as the Managing Director of Policy Implementation at both Employ America and Institute for Progress. His work bridges macroeconomic policy and practical implementation. His recent work has focused on energy, transportation, and infrastructure.

Natalie Wyeth Earnest

Natalie has advised economic policymakers at the highest levels of government on the critical nexus between policy, politics, and communications for the last 15 years. She served as an advisor to three Treasury Secretaries, working with each to communicate their policy objectives in clear and compelling ways. She also worked for the Governor of Louisiana during the state’s recovery and rebuilding effort after Hurricane Katrina. 

Preston Mui

Preston is a Senior Economist at Employ America, where his research covers inflation management, labor market developments, productivity growth, and Federal Reserve policy. His academic work has been published in The Review of Economic Statistics and The Review of Economic Studies.

Skanda Armanath

Skanda is co-founder and Executive Director of Employ America. In this capacity, he conducts regular analyses of price and jobs data and interprets and forecasts market conditions. He was previously an analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and an economist and strategist in the private sector.
